I couldn't think of anything to add to the discussion until your story touched my banking/insurance/amex nerve.

I had a bank once hold on to CASH for 24 hours before issuing a cashier's check! Talk about stupid rules.

OK, on John Harvey's request, here's something positive:

1. I would reverse all stupid banking fees and turn them into credits, so instead of charging customers $7/month for online access (which saves them work), I'd turn that into a $7/month credit.

2. I would give myself the power to know which personal injury lawsuits are bogus and with that would make 90% of all lawsuits in progress magically disappear.

3. I would make ALL Amex cards in the world have NO CREDIT LIMIT. Like their ads so blatantly lie.

4. I would turn doctors into human beings again.

5. I would make politicians impotent (that is, incapable of lying).

6. Spammers would all wake up with a large, bold, unerasable "S" tatooed on their foreheads (it's up to the world to deal with them).

7. Spyware authors would contract Spammer's disease.

There, enough of playing god for a day. Now let me go back to this computer and make it do what *I* want!!!! MUAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
