Hi Albert,

You cannot save data with a pdf form with only the Reader. However, why are you saving data with the form anyway? That is an Adobe licensing issue. It requires the full version of Acrobat or Approval, etc. See the Adobe website and the Adobe forums for more information.

I have tested (actually still am right now) the activex control as well as third party controls. The activex control is meant only for using with browsers. Regardless, NONE will allow you to save the form with the data because of the Adobe licensing issue. It still requires the full version. You can however, merge the data with the form whenever you want for previewing and printing.

I have found that using the Gnostice activex control works better for our purposes. It saves me having to create the xfdf file at all. You might want to check it out. Are you trying to save images of the pdf with data on it in Notes? Can't you store the data separately and merge them everytime the user views the pdf instead?
