Yes, I need to save the "merged" pdf into Notes because by the time it gets into Notes it is supposed to be a "legal" document in that what you see in Notes is what was sent out for signing - at least that is what I am being asked to do. (the app changes over time and if we were to only merge them later, I would have to archive the apps and know which .xfdf to merge with which .pdf). It might be that I have to get the users to print the .pdf document a second time via the PDF writer (in this case Amyuni) in order to capture exactly what was printed.
But I see just today on the UT main page an article about Adobe 7.0 allowing changes and editing. Here is the link but I have not had time to go to the Adobe site to find out any details.

I have told them that we could probably start testing with a couple of users in a week or two so want to push ahead. If it means that they have to do a bit more work than they thought, they would probably be happier with this than waiting for me to figure out something new.
Thanks for any help or comments....if I find out anything more on Adobe 7.0, I will let you know.
