The situation is this: IE5 is no longer supported. That is the reason that it no longer appears in the MS download section.
Update to IE 6. Or, for older machines (IE 6 doesn't work on Windows 95), use Opera instead.
Better yet, use Opera on all your machines anyway, and forget about IE.
