>>A project file I was working on just died. About half of the file is "missing". When I open the project, VFP prompts me with: "Unable to find Visual Class Library E:\CDBK30\COMMON30\UTILS\", plus a bunch of other messages that are very similar. I could point VFP back to the original files, if I knew WHICH files it wanted. In all of the errors, the actual name of the class library/files that are "missing" aren't in the prompt; so I don't know which file to select.

>This does not help much, but I experienced that quite often and I finally bought Win 95 Plus. They have a scheduler and I used it to zip up my applications (including projects) at night. This scheduler ran 5 different routines (Mon - Fri) to pkzip my code up, and when I recieved that great message about my project I just restored from the previous night and continued on. This has saved me many a headache as well as the other programmers in my group. I know this does not help you much but it may help you in the future.

IMO, the best way to avoid headaches is to develop on normalized tree, i.e. root folder and subfolders (with understandable names: forms,classes,etc.).
