John;
I have an encyclopedia that was published in 1888 and dedicated to my grandfather when he was born in 1890. In that book there are many “facts and theories” about science. It is truly amazing how different we look upon those same topics today.
Theories change as a matter of personal acceptance of the majority and of the moment. What we have been taught in school will surely be obsolete and found to be invalid in the future. Even religions are dynamic to a degree. There are many versions of the bible in different languages. Some religions place particular emphasis upon specific parts of the bible.
I do not think anyone can say with certainty that a theory from science or an interpretation from a religious document is infallible. You have to have faith to agree with either source.
