I realize that unlike VFP, there doesn't appear to be a disabled background color.
But several years ago, I had users complain that they couldn't copy the contents of a disabled textbox to the clipboard (for pasting in an e-mail). Just because a control can't be edited, doesn't mean the user shouldn't be allowed to set the focus and copy the contents. From that point on, I used disabled less and less - and have never really lamented the lack of a disabledbackcolor property.
