>>> There are a lot of good examples shipped with the product, and I would say complete examples with explanations, which to me are enough tools to really understand the intricacies of the language.

>The samples are composed of "applets", little things that simply illustrate a few things each. Unfortunately, we aren't writing little "applets" when we develop applications. The sample application that ships with VFP, TasTrade, is a pathetic example, possibly the worst example of class design, OOP, and architecture that one could imagine.

>To say that the VFP samples are a sufficient set of examples to get someone profitably developing is wrong. The proof of that is the framework mini-industry that has emerged to correct the problem.

Are you saying then that one package of VFP is not enough to be bought by an aspiring developer? That it should be coupled by this so called 'Helpful Frameworks' ? Bet you, this Frameworks does not explain OOP terminologies which is essential to the developer.

Sorry if it seems I am becoming too biased on frameworks Mr. Black. I just can't help but to follow my conviction, maybe because I am just too loyal and have much deeper confidence on VFP language alone rather that mixing it up with third party tools done out of it.
I just don't want to deal with two or three different approaches and companies. It's difficult, tedious, tiresome, and cost me too much.
Well, I must accept the fact that the reason why this UT topic have gone this far, and will go even further without end, is because of *BUSINESS* matters.

Thank you for spending time in answering my unwavering insights. Thank you also for being candid with me, I salute you for that.
