I suggest trying a driver for a different HP USB printer. I can print to my HP businessjet 1100 from VFP without error, and that's a USB printer. I don't know if that driver is compatible with your printer or not, but it's worth a try.

>MSKB article Q238473 suggests installing an "older" printer driver as a workaround but unfortunately this does not work very well since the LJ 3500 is a USB-only printer and the old (i.e. HP LaserJet 4) drivers don't want to work with USB apparently.
