for #1, first you select the files by click on it( for more than 1 file,press down CTRL key while you click, you can then click as many as you can) . To move it, just simply drag and drog (for copy,press CTRL), or alternately, right click and select cut from the shortcut menu, then go to the destination and paste.

for #2, i don't like explorer, but you can type the command in the ms-prompt :
ren test.* mytest.*
you can also type it by click at the 'run' on the start button.
ren stand for rename, in this case, test.* is the source and mytest.* is the destination files.
