Were using shortcuts so that staff members outside of IT can access programs from a central shortcut folder without having to see all other files used by the IT group. Sometimes IT members will use the shortcuts themselfs to go through the same motions that a user would do so. In doing so IT has their VFP set to modify programs by deafualt and not run them. So when we double click a shortcut to a VFP program in WIN2K that was made by XP the program some how gets deleted. Running it works fine. However if we view the properties of the shortcut it shows the ~ marks and not the full path.

Thanks for the help.
