First of all, a PeopleSoft database has gazillions of tables and it took forever for the view designer to load the picklist of tables. Then I tried copying the SQL into a new remote view and it errored out on the save claiming it could not resolve a field name. Finally, after some fiddling, I got the RV it to work, but the query took minutes to run as opposed to using SPT which took about a second.

Maybe you could run GENDBC on your RV and see how the view SQL and cursor and DB props compare to your SPT.
