Hi Jordan,
>I have clear view on Great London market where we operate.
>From day to day appears more and more orders for VFP work, because lack of the programmers. But companies refuse to accept higher rates(of course time development rise a little bit :-)).
That's good to hear, but I can only talk from my own experiences of
a) Speaking to numerous (>150) companies in the past 3 months that have used VFP in the last 5 years. Some have stayed with VFP, some are gradually moving to other platforms, but around 40% have given-up on VFP completely!
b) Speaking to many agencies who have advertised VFP work in the past 6 months.
c) Speaking to other developers.
d) Reading the trends on various web-sites.
>Most of the companies which use VFP for their Client-server solutions are confident in advantages of VFP.
I agree with you.
>May be you have to move to larger cities where there are more contrcting work.
I lived in London until 1994 - maybe it's time to go back? That would be very difficult at present as all of my family have ties in south-west England which they couldn't leave at present.
>and after 2-3 years you have to start learn ASP/VB.Net
That's the way it's looking at the moment.
Regards,
Alan
