I don't believe so. I dug down into the code looking for the same answer, and it looks like internally the one choice is overwritten by the other. It requires the number to enforce uniqueness. Just had a thought while writing, you might try prepending the number rather than appending it, and see if that 'works' better for you. Might have to try that myself...
