VFP setup just creates input files for MS standard Setup.exe.

I've found 2 refrences for error numbers. One is by searching the MS site using the error number (824). If there this an article about it, you'll get it. Not many there though. The other is using MSDN (CD or On-line) There are some fairly detailed acticles here about Setup.exe, and how it works.

The Object number, as I recall, refrences the line number that created the error in the Setup.inf file. Looking at the .inf, you can usually see the object/file name in that line.

If you don't have access to MSDN, I can look up some info for you.
