Hi Nadya

I thought this through some more. Ideally VFP should have a way to resume the query, rather than restarting it. However, since there is no such ability, retrying the query is necessary. I'd still go with a warning that resuming after ESC requires a full restart. This is a safety feature after all, and airbags (and even coffee cups) come with warning labels now. ;)

>>I prefer to aim for a single standard. If a query could take minutes, or 20 seconds, having a warning and not restarting the query from scratch sounds best to me.

If the user answers "Yes", the process is stopped. If the user answers "No", the process continues. However, some commands may need to be re-executed in order to get the correct results. That's the downpay of playing with the keyboard. That's my standards of programming. Provide a user with as much flexibility as possible.
