Nadya, the issue is in 'StrictDateEntry' vs 'StrictDate' (see Nancy's code). StrictDateEntry = 0, without the D format, will allow you to enter whatever you like, but it will not accept it as valid when you're done. It will simply put the value back to an empty datetime and give you no message. You have to check the validity yourself in your own valid().
