Create a formula that does exactly why you said, then adds the two together.

BTW, if you're planning to really get into Crystal Reports, you may want to get this book http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?userid=t82fuKlAqr&isbn=0072229519&itm=4

Also, www.kenhamady.com has some excellent stuff on it.

>The Detail Section has formulas in it. For each Formula, I created a Summary in the Group Section. That leaves the formula in the Detail Section with say Hours A = 5.75 and Hours B = 6.50 and in the Group Section with Hours A = 5.75 and Hours B = 6.50. This is exactly what I wanted because this way I can place the Hours A and Hours B wherever I want in the Group Section.

>I am thinking I will have to convert the strings to numbers first to add them. Right now, it only concatenates the two strings. Your thoughts?

>Thanks ahead of time.
