the DataEnvironment object (DE) and the other object it can contain
(cursor object etc. - not to be mistaken with SQL cursors) are objects
VFP has for data manipulation (open/close tables set relation/buffering etc.)

anyway , if u don't like views, that's your choice, I personally think it is a great tool ,which also help u in getting ready for C/S setup among other benefiets
