See my reply. The problem here is not woith the gird it is the fact that there are a nymber of diffreent objects that make up the grid and they each want to set the mouse pointer fior their own purposes. You need to handle the situation in every object involved.

I posted a solution that is pure VFP code in VFP methods that keeps the mouse pointer an arrow no matter where you move in the grid. There is no need for an API call here and there is nothing worng here. Simply something misunderstood, that being that the grid is ciomplex and is comprised of more than one object..
