Ah, thanks for setting the record straight on that. Actually, I use the API calls mostly for the hand pointer on grid columns (where mousepointer doesn't work), and know that it works for arrows, too -- since I already have the mechanism in place, I can use it for any type of cursor...but if you only want standard arrows, your solution certainly makes better sense...
