It's just that I'm getting tired of walking them through the installation of the printer driver over the phone. It's both time consuming and costly. Espcially if the person at the other end does not know what he is doing.

My software, I will support matter what, but if they decide to purchase their own hardware and install the drivers themself, then that part of it should be their responsibility.

I don't think you are unreasonable. However, it would help make things clearer, if you state upfront what you are willing to include in your offer, and what not. Just in case you didn't do so already.

It seems quite obvious to me that installing a new printer, totally unrelated to your application, is really none of your business - not as a free extra, anyway.
