>I try to update my table of contents and then immediately save the document. The hard drive spins for a few minutes, then returns with a message that 'the disk is full. try another drive...' The document is about 5 meg, there is over 300 meg available on the drive. Has anyone else encountered this? How did you work around it?
I've encountered wierd things with Work97 over the last year or so. Try deleting the TOC section and recreate it from scratch. If that does not work I would try cutting and pasting into a new document and then recreate the TOC. Another option would be to break up your document into smalled digestable pieces. I know Word in the past had lots of problems with large size files.
Also, make sure U have the latest patches for MS Office 97. I know there is atleast 1 Service Release.
