Also do a search on ADSI and ADAM. While I was programming for ADSI I seem to remember the elements I added to 'Contacts' ADSI folder appeared in outlook contacts. At least check "Madam I'm ADAM" or sort of that on MSDN. In that article also I remember there was a reference to scripting utilities from scriptingguys.
If ADSI is really related than there are DirectoryServices class + sample code with .NET (ADAM installation).
