>>>My project has "logout" feature. When the user arrives, their is a static page of forms.

>>Is "their" the usual shorthand for "his or her"? I've read recently that this practice of using the plural as the gender neutral pronoun is a time-honored... workaround for the total lack of reflexive pronouns in English. It was in use in XVI century literature, and though it sounds quite out of whack when you try to translate into any other language, I respect it as such.
>What? .. What? ... What? ...

Sorry to have disturbed your coding catatonia, but the melody of the sentence inspired me. "When you arrive, yours is this luxurious royal suite" was what I heard in my mind. You can imagine how disappointed I was when I understood that it's just plain static page instead.

So my inspiration turned into inspiration for a little Friday thingy... just practicing my home() way of joking - "If they can't take a joke, mock them seriously"... mmm, no, it's rather "it's impolite to laugh first when you make a joke, so manners oblige to remain calm and serious until someone else laughs". Which has a good side-effect in case the joke flops, you don't get to be the only one to laugh and thus look like a complete idiot.

>Okay - I slipped - it's friday (err - a glance at my "task" bar clock says saturday)

Sometimes I feel that fixing our clocks would accomplish nothing. We need calendar fixing. Each month I'm at least once mentally off by one day - on a Saturday thinking it's a Friday, or on a Tuesday thinking it's Wednesday.

> - the pain - the pain. "Fear is the mind-killer, Fear is the mind-killer, Fear is the mind-killer, Fear is the ...".

The sleeper will awaken, thanks for the reminder, but please don't distub him until Monday 10:00 am (assuming he can take one hour zombified until the first coffee start showing its beneficial effects, and assuming his calendar is bug-free).

>Please insert "he is presented with static frames" for "their is a static page of forms" in sentence 2.

No, thanks, I still prefer it the way it was. "Their is" implies ownership, and I've heard that this ownership society is the next big thing after the next big thing after the next big thing after the next big thing after sliced bread. "Is presented"... sounds like "receives a gift", which unnecessarily complicates the matter; it contradicts the Occam's razor by introducing oGift, oRecipient, oGiver.

>The problem is the college radio station I listen to substituted some well produced "west asian" string quartets for the first act of Orthello.

>And thank you for noticing and taking the time to help me through this [hopefully] temporary lapse of distal carpal synchronization. Rusty guitar strings - that's what did it! Where's my Gingko?

Um... how about sleeping sometimes? I've heard that it helps. Not that I'm not sleeping, only haven't noticed that it does help that much. And I'm hit by acute insomnia every time I wake up - should I be worried?
