>And Clinton got and get's a pass from the other side - on everything he ever did that should have been scrutinized - which was a lot. So, we like our guys and disdain the other side, what else is new?<g>

John;

A personal observation: Presidents like Ford and Reagan worked well with Democrats to help advance our nation. Since Bush (The elder) took office, it seems like rather than politicians helping the people and the nation, it is more important to get your way and belittle the other guy. I do not consider this to be productive nor in the best interest of our nation.

It seems to me that politicians and our two major political parties are more interested in serving themselves and not in office to represent the people who elected them. I would like to see our political system work to better our nation and not divide it.

But you have a good point in your statement, "what else is new"? This negative activity has been going for so many years that perhaps people are willing to accept it as "normal".

My least favorite president was LBJ. However, it is well known that he was able to bring democrats and republicans together as no other president, to pass his agenda.

Tom
