If you're using proper object-oriented design and programming techniques, there no reason why you have to use the Class Designer and Form Designer - you can code everything in .prg files if you want. However, in visual layouts (such as forms), you may find it easier to write those classes in the Class Designer - note that I do not use the Form Designer myself.
