That's my point. If I'm on Linux/WINE, I'm never going to Microsoft to get an OS update.

So, did Microsoft do the equivalent of enforcing that... under no circumstances will they give anyone an air conditioner in the Arctic?

I'm puzzled at the significance of this; and why they did this in the first place???
