We still have clients using our vertical market app compiled in Clipper S/86. Some swear they'll still be using it when they retire.

As more and more of our users convert to the VFP version, the DOS version is slowly dieing and there's certainly no new development going on with it. But we still do maintenance. In fact, we found a bug just last week in code that's been in production for 15 years.

We did recently use Clipper to do a conversion from a competitor's product to our DOS product because none of our VFP devs had time to do the conversion. We already have a DOS->VFP conversion utility. It was a good use of the company VP's time. <g>

>What amazes me is that some of these products are still alive! I'm not trying to demean any other dev tool, but does anyone use any of this stuff in a production environment? When I say "use", I mean actively develop new applications.
