Hi Calvin,

I've used VistaDB in one application with Mere Mortals. I really can't judge the speed because I didn't have thousands of records. But for what I had, I compared it with the same app using VFP. Speed seemed to be comparable which was fine to me. The only item I didn't like with Vista was @@identity was not a function like Sql Server. You have to requery to get the last record. I found that to be a pain in relationships and needing the primary key. This was also several months ago and I don't have the latest updates and also didn't have the MM Vista install. I do love it's simplicity.

Hope it helps,
Rex

>I have an evaluation copy of both Mere Mortals and VistaDB. VistaDB looks, at least on the surface, as if it might solve many problems for me. However, at this point I am having trouble getting into .Net to the point where I can perform any meaningful tests. Is anyone out there actually working with VistaDb? If so, I would love to hear your reaction to it in terms of speed, reliability, and usability.
