Ok but how do we put pressure on them without putting it on Mr. Levy?

I'm afraid that by putting pressure on somebody else we'd be redirected to Mr. Levy.

I don't like it because Mr. Levy has made a lot for the VFP world. BUT all of that was as a developer. NOW he's on top of the marketing game. Are you satisfied with the marketing being made for VFP? Probably not if you kinda make a living with it and see no need to use .Net.

He's responsible for the marketing, if that is still the case by the way because things can change within MS, For the better (.Net) or for the worse (VFP).

So I assume that he's still responsible for marketing for VFP but he does'nt seem to be disturbed by all the bad publicity going on for VFP. The last in line being that DBF is now considered as the worst thing ever invented.

So I'd say we should forget about the "He was" line of thinking and react about the "He is". For the "He was" period I give him 5 stars. For the "He is" I'll tell you when I give him the first star. <vbg>

If you really are passionate about what you do you'll do everything to make it better. Feedback is the most precious thing. There has been feedback regularly here about VFP but the actions taken don't necessarily reflect what was discussed.

Let's assume some things. This will make it easier to get my point across.

1) I'm a very good developer that worked for many years for a big corporation.
2) I made a lot of money because I'm on top of my game.
3) I'm being offered a nice promotion within that big corporation. Who in his right mind would refuse it? This could open the door to another very interesting career. And on top of it all for the product that I used and liked a lot for many years.
4) The sad thing is that after a while I realize that I'm trapped and that this is a dead-end job. I've been chosen to KILL the product but because I have a lot of friends in that COMMUNITY this will make it easier for the big enterprise.

What would you do in that situation?

One thing I can tell you is that I'd resign as fast as possible. Because if I don't resign fast I'm as responsible for the killing of my beloved product as the big corporation.
