FWIW... I am no network admin so take this with a grain of salt
From what I recall in Win2003 Server is that you need to turn it into a filesharing server. WHen I launch W2K3 in my office I get a dialog that asks how this machine will be used (they can be used in different ways, application server, file server, etc) I think you need to run taht wizard to do what you want....

Thus concludes my networking knowledge.....
