Hi Hilmar,

It is as you can read my mind :), I have to explain(promote foxpro) to some co-workers (who are using at this moment the software "Access") how they can access Oracle Databases with Visual Foxpro. At this moment they are experiencing a lot of problems with remote access using "Access". So I hope that foxpro will do a better job with remote views or CursorAdapters....

Thanks for the tips.

>>Thanks Hilmar, I have experimented the past weeks with views and this is exactly what I want to use more and more in the future...so thanks again for your detailed help and pointing me to this feature...

>Although I didn't experiment with this yet, a view can also help you access a remote database (like Oracle, for example). In this case, it is called a "remote view". The basic concepts are very similar.

>(In VFP 8 and later though, an approach often recommended is the CursorAdapter, since it gives you more flexibility.)

>For accessing VFP tables, all you need are the tables themselves and the local views.
