Sorry if you've read this here before, but it merits repeating I think.

Possibly the biggest tactical mistake one can make when in a niche
market such as ours is wish we weren't in a niche market.

I'm personally delighted that VFP isn't on every bandwagon Microsoft sends out. Bandwagons, when you think of it, are mostly for the unenlightened. Meanwhile every reasonably competent Fox developer I know is busy beyond belief, hounded by headhunters, making a very good wage, and mostly happy working in VFP and not going anywhere soon.
