Turbo diesels are getting quicker and quicker. I own a Ford Escort 1.8 TD. A fairly basic car (esspecially in american terms), but it runs from 0 - 100 in just about 10 seconds, it is faster than most Gas run cars. Except if you really want to have the fastest cars, a Turbo Diesel can be quite fast too..
