>My notebook is going to retire. I'm looking how to transfer its Windows XP Pro system to another computer. What I've found in Windows XP EULA is:

>4. TRANSFER—Internal. You may move the Product to a different Workstation Computer. After the transfer, you must completely remove the Product from the former Workstation Computer.

>Is this process as simple as described: just install and activate OS on new computer and remove it from the old one? Please share your experience.

Yes, it is.
But if you reinstalled your Windows several times on your computer and between the instalations you change something of your hardware (I am not sure what MS tests) when you try to activate the Windows the activation screen will force you to call your local MS Dealer to get a new activation code. If you didn't do this, just install and activate it.
