When I first heard about hardware for Visual Studio 2005 I was told 1GB minimum. After I've played with it, I'd say get at least 2GB.

Any model would probably do but make sure you get at least 2GB of RAM, a nice size hard drive (pretty common now) and a decent processor, whatever is "common" now (what is it like 3GHz?) I guess would do. If you could get a video card with some RAM on it that would be nice too since so you will not have to share the system RAM.

Aloha,

James
