>I, too, like the Red Sox (or any team from Boston). I was fortunate enough to work with Adam Oates at a firm he worked for in the off-season (I guess in preparation for life after hockey) and go to a birthday party he threw for himself at his house. Got to meet Cam Neely there. Pretty cool stuff, especially since I played hockey through high school. It's neat meeting famous people you look up to while growing up.
Yeah, things like that are pretty cool. I had the good fortune of growing up on the South Side of Chicago, across the street from a place named the Picadilly Hotel (Hyde Park Blvd. & Blackstone Ave.). In the late '50's and early '60's that's where the White Sox housed the players, coaches and their families during the season. So when I was a kid, not only did I get to meet a lot of my heros, but play with their kids as well.
