The application I am creating is going to ultimately be used with a touch screen (and no mouse or keyboard). A cell within the grid will be *touched* at a certain spot and that will take the user to more information about that particular topic. The grid can be paged up or paged down via two arrow buttons on the screen beside the grid, but I don't want an individual record to be selected (or at least SEEN as being select by the user). That's the ultimate reason I don't want an individual record to be selected. Touch screen applications give a whole new perspective on application design, unfortunately.
