>My ex-husband went to Kabul for DynaCorp. He was in charge of the security team for the Ambassador until he suffered an aneurysm and had to return to the states for open heart surgery. It was all tax free but there was a LOT of political crap to deal with over there. We know quite a few over there working for them now and many in Iraq as well. Our area has a large number of police who have gone to Afghanistan and Iraq too. Do you know other officers who are there? If so, I would definitely contact them and find out the REAL deal. If not, let me know and I will put you in contact with some I know.

Yeah, I've got several friends who did it. One in particular said it wasn't bad. I think she was in the training area though. What kind of tax free dollars are we talking about? I've seen 150k on some stuff, but I haven't heard anything back from my inquiries yet.
