This is really profound.

Look, if Monsanto could get that farmer to pay dearly because his soybeans got crosspolinated with their plants (although they didn't actually belong to Monsanto, who only sold the GM seeds to the guy who owned the next field), don't be surprised if blah blah blah really happens.

So why does so much of publicly funded research end up as bringing profit to a certain few companies? We ARE involved by paying taxes, where's our share?
