The worst title for me is "Le sapin a des boules"

In english : "National lampoon's christmas vacation"

How can anybody get from the original title to that very weird french title?

For example, the film with the simple title "Airplane" became "y a t-il une pilote dans l'avion" where the simple xlation would have been just "Avion". "Die Hard III" -> "Un Jour en Enfer"
