The worst title for me is "Le sapin a des boules"
In english : "National lampoon's christmas vacation"
How can anybody get from the original title to that very weird french title?
>Well ... "Lost"?
>
>I assume ALL francophonic versions of fils, TV take a French name instead. But some of the don't xlate literally. For example, the film with the simple title "Airplane" became "y a t-il une pilote dans l'avion" where the simple xlation would have been just "Avion". "Die Hard III" -> "Un Jour en Enfer"
>
>By that token, Lost could be: "Des gens qui sont isolés et entourés par de mauvais hommes sur une île"
>
>Voila.
>
>>What else could it be ? ;-)
>>
>>>Es-ce qu'il s'appel "Perdu" dans l'emmission francais?
>>>
>>>>>Question: I missed the middle third or so of the first season, but did they ever explain that polar bear they killed?
>>>>
>>>>Not that I know of. I watched the first two seasons in french. I can't wait to see the third in french so I'm watching the third one in english. Another reason is that I don't have a conflict on tv at that same time.
>>>>
>>>>There are so many unexplained things I guess that they made sure they could have many seasons ;-)
