Like I said, it didn't use to happen before I got broadband and then firewalls. Maybe the freebies of SpyBot and ZoneAlarm don't cover some "nasties" that get in and cause mischief, spark off other processses etc.
Maybe it's having different firewalls alive at the same time.
Anyway, I think I'll disable the Dumprep now as I rarely can be bothered to send the info to MS for them to "file" anyway. I've never had a message back suggesting a resolution to my proble, have you? :-)
