>- I'm not a Giant fan, but I'll give them props for walking into Carolina and winning. The NFC East is up for grabs. And in Dallas, the honeymoon is over. Let's see how the Cowboys respond.

Not sure if beating Carolina in Carolina or otherwise is a "quality" win any more this season. If Dallas could do it, ... :)

My forecast for DAL before the Saints game while all the euphoria was still in the air was a very real possibility of a 3-game skid against N.O., Atl (only road game left), and Phi., and only ending with a final game at home against Detroit. I'm leaning toward 2-and-2 with wins against ATL and DET.

>- When the Saints picked up Drew Brees and Reggie Bush, I figured that would mean a few more wins this year - but not this many. This team is the story of the year, and I'm rooting for them in the NFC. Can you imagine Drew Brees playing in the Super Bowl against the Chargers....wow.

I too have rooted for the Saints all year except against the Cowboys of course. Still rooting for them until they play Dallas again.

>- Rex straightened himself out last night - but I still have questions about the Bear defense. They appear much more vulnerable than earlier in the season. Not bashing them, just not sure they're any better than the Saints, Seahawks, etc. We'll find out come January.

The saying "Blind hog finding an acorn..." comes to mind here regarding a good game for Rex.

>- If Philly somehow makes the post-season, don't be shocked if they make a run. Jeff Garcia has to be one of the most competitive quarterbacks in the NFL. Now...suppose for one minute that Garcia does the unthinkable...leads Philly to the Super Bowl. Who would be the starter next season...hmmm.

If healthy, McNabb, even if Garcia wins the SB.

>- All of a sudden, everyone is on the Bengal bandwagon, projecting that they're the Steelers of 2006. Not saying Cincy won't go deep - but what the Steelers did last year was something that happens maybe once in 10 years.

A real tough (toughest of remaining contenders?) road to finish the season.

>- It's too bad that 2nd-half studs like the Titans and the Fish have to wait for next season. They are playing great ball.

Yeah, once the pressure was off, and they "lost" their to the post-season during the first half of the reg season.

>- It's official - the Texans are now regretting passing up on Reggie Bush and Vince Carter. Two seasons ago, this franchise thought they were close to competing for the playoffs. Sunday's loss was a painful one.

Kind of reminds me of who to draft in 1989(?) - Troy Aikman or Tony Mandarich. NEVER DRAFT A LINEMAN AHEAD OF A SKILL PLAYER IF THE TALENT LEVEL IS ANY WHERE CLOSE ESPECIALLY IF THE SKILL PLAYER IS A QB. Dallas, of course picked first that year and the rest is history. The Packers took Mandarich (oof!).
