But we can use the word "just" which only has ONE "only" meaning: "apart from anyone/thing else".

Of course it can also mean, "it happened a moment ago" and "right"/"correct"/"fair" but you can avoid that by the context.

"Last" is a funny one: it can mean the end one in chain or the one that just happened. I used this pun in our first gig: "No matter how it goes, tommorrow we'll still be able to refer to this as our last gig".

The French have the same 2 meanings to "dernier" but get round this by the position in the sentence:

"La derniere foie" - the time before this
"La foie derniere" - there will be no further times after this.
