>So let's say instead of just capturing these suspects and detaining them for years without trial and without counsel, we had just lined them up and shot them in the head. Would that have been OK with you, too, since they aren't U.S. citizens?

>This isn't the first time the Bush administration's legal maneuvers in the "war on terror" have been struck down by the Supreme Court, and it won't be the last. And you sure can't blame it on a liberal court. (Otherwise you would have <g>).

Nobody is talking about killing them. You are the one being obtuse here. Do you not remember the guy who was a prisoner, then released and just last month blew himself up in a suicide attack? People who aren't US citizens don't or shouldn't have the protection of our constitution, particularly when they have been designated terrorists. I don't want our government torturing people, or wrongfully imprisoning them either, but I think our guys need to not be handcuffed in this war against the jihadists. I fear the liberals are going to make it impossible to prosecute a war. I had hoped the pres would challenge the supremes on this issue. This is a dangerous precedent.
