Actually I do feel badly about starting this thread. It was a cheap shot at Sarah Palin. Although as you know I am a Democrat, and more emotionally invested in this election than usual, I do not think of myself as a blind partisan from the no-holds-barred school. Posting the link to the article about Palin's college career was a low blow. Actually I agree with you that it's to her credit that she persevered and got her degree, and went on to accomplish things in life. And I know nothing about her finances or family circumstances at the time, only that she was bouncing around a lot. There's nothing that says Presidents have to be Ivies or Rhodes scholars who graduate at the top of their class. (Some of those "best and brightest" have proven to be less than stellar Presidents, I think we can agree on that). So anyway, mea culpa. I keep saying I want a higher level of discourse in our elections and should practice what I preach.
