>>Is this season 1 (around 4 years old) or season 2 (current)? I watched season 1 and I really liked it, my only complaint was that they "latino-americanized" (probably new word :) the Spanish, so for me and my wife (specially my wife who was born and raised in Buenos Aires) the accent and the words were terrible, the dialogue was quite "disgusting" for it was said in a way that you will never listen a "Porteño" speak.

>Season 1 and I agree, the language is strange. Probably why so many complain about the language - it seems to be a mixture of different words from different parts. Although I swear I heard the lead character use the term boludo, bolu or pelotudo for 'idiot.' Also Esta puesto was used about him his relationship with Laura by someone (can't remember who). Those are local, aren't they?

All three of the terms used for 'idiot' are common, I can't remember if they were used or not, but they probably did. "Esta puesto" does not sound as Argentinian at all. There is a word repeated by the main character all the time "chiquito/a" which started a discussion with my wife, she hated it and does not remember it as being used, on my case I do remember it so the discussion, but things were kind of settled when my mother came to visit us a couple of weeks ago, and She started to use chiquita/o quite a lot, so it might be that is used more in Patagonia than in Buenos Aires, that's why my wife does not know it and was really annoyed at it :)
