Yes, that's what I was alluding too. When I started my first reply in this thread, I had meant to to say, "wait for BUILD", but by the time I clicked Send, I forgot to add it.

I have no doubt that the ARSTechnica article about a new Win32 API is correct on that point. I base this on things posted MJF and others have written.. I have no inside knowledge. What I do have problems with is that same ARSTechnica article alluding to things not said in the WIn8 demo as fact.

I also think the overall developer story from Microsoft that will be announced at the BUILD conference in September will be better than some developers expect, which I think is a point Craig has been making indirectly.
