>Neither dead people nor illegal immigrants steal your elections, it all comes down to alive politicians with legal status using them to steal the elections, and unfortunately a photo ID will not solve the problem in my experience, as in Argentina not only a photo ID is used, but one that even has finger prints on it is used (try that in North America!) and still dead people and illegal immigrants vote thanks to our beloved politicians. Not saying that it shouldn't be required, because I think it should, but I doubt it will fix the issue that stems from the politicians themselves, they will just find another way, like fake IDs :)
After the experience from Sloba's years, it's now near impossible to steal elections in Serbia - every party, and there are still many of them, knows all the tricks. They all take care to have their people to staff the voting stations, and watch over what the others are doing. So even if some tricks are tried, they never amount to much, and are never enough to influence the outcome. The only party claiming fraud is the one I like the least :).
Now they have a different problem - people rarely bother to come to vote. The general feeling is that all the parties consist of the same kind of thieves, so why not let the worse thieves in for a spell, just to teach the previous pack a little lesson.
